Microsoft accidentally offers Windows 11 upgrade

Image
Last week, Microsoft accidentally prompted users to upgrade to Windows 11 even though their PCs didn't meet the operating system’s minimum requirements. Twitter user, PhantomOcean3 was one of the first to note the error when a Windows 10 PC displayed a notification prompting the user to install the software if he had 2GB of RAM. Streamer Adin Ross Banned For Eighth Time On Twitch

Twitch has once again banned streamer Adin Ross, now for the eighth time in total. The reasons for the ban are currently unknown, but this of course is not the first time that Ross has been in hot water on the platform, having frequently courted controversy. Ross is mostly known for his gaming content, putting together a substantial following on Twitch, having streamed on the platform for several years. The frequent bans have raised questions about his conduct and behavior on the platform numerous times already. This latest ban has left many of his fans rather bewildered, wondering what could have provoked the measure. Some have been speculating that it may be due to recent controversial comments made by the streamer, while others have suggested that it may be related to previous terms of service violations. Call Of Duty On Switch Will Launch On The Same Day As Xbox

In an attempt to show regulators that it won't gate off the Call of Duty series once its acquisition of Activision Blizzard has gone through - something which is Sony's main point of contention regarding the whole deal - Microsoft recently signed a 10-year deal with Nintendo to publish the series on Switch. Top top it off, that deal also included "feature and content parity", meaning the version that will launch on Switch consoles will be the exact same as the Xbox version. After that announcement, many questioned how Microsoft and Activision Blizzard were going to pull that off considering the power difference between the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X. Obviously, some sacrifices are going to have to be made somewhere, and it's likely both performance and graphical quality will take a hit if Microsoft isn't willing to remove features. One thing that has been confirmed though is that whatever this Switch version of Call of Duty is going to look like, ...

NBA playoff push: Kevin Durant's fit in Phoenix and nine other things worth watching down the stretch

Whether you enjoyed All-Star weekend (Jayson Tatum, Mac McClung ) or not (Paul George, Mike Malone ), it's time to transition back to in-game dunks, hard fouls, instant replays and something we haven't seen on the NBA hardwood in about a week -- defense. With the playoffs starting in early April, the next six weeks will determine which teams are going to get an early start on the 2023-24 season and which ones are all-in on the playoffs. The trade deadline (and fallout from it) provided a bounty of storylines, especially in the Western Conference after Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving joined the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks, and the enigmatic Russell Westbrook both "left" and "joined" Los Angeles. And, don't worry, we're not leaving the Eastern Conference out of the party. The top three teams, Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers will combine for five game...

Shakira´s Make Up and Beauty Advice

Image
Best beauty advice Wear sunscreen. That’s the best advice. I don’t fry under the sun. Yeah, it gives you the cool look like you’ve been on vacation all the time, but it lasts, what, a week? And then you have to live with the damage it does to your skin. I like BabyGanic Sunscreen Spray because it’s all natural, waterproof, gentle, and it really stays. And La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 because it’s paraben-free. In summer I’m trying to go au naturel with my makeup. I like to use Tarte foundation because it’s oil-free and waterproof and doesn’t have any of the other bad stuff. I don’t put it all over my face—just in certain areas. I also love Origins Pinch Your Cheeks. It’s water-based, so it doesn’t clog your pores and makes you look rosy. And then a little bit of mascara. Sometimes I just curl my eyelashes and don’t wear mascara at all. Shakira ´s typical beauty routine when Travel ing It’s very important to keep it simple, so I try not to use too much, just to keep my ski...

Destiny 2 Cheat Provider AimJunkies To Pay Bungie $4.4 Million

Bungie has once again won against Destiny 2 cheat manufacturers, being granted damages in the millions. In its most recent victory, it was awarded $4.4 million against a seller named AimJunkies, which is the second win in Bungie's crusade against cheaters. Bungie originally kicked off its war on cheat manufacturers back in 2021 by suing three of them at once. Out of those, AimJunkies was seemingly the most difficult to take down as the court dismissed Bungie's claims against it due to a lack of evidence. Yet in the end, Bungie emerged victorious (via Euro Game r) and was awarded $4,396,222 in damages, which includes $738k in legal fees. Hope High School’s Architecture and Construction pathway as part of Career and Technical Education Month. A total of 96 students are currently enrolled in the program. Twitter to charge users to secure accounts via text message

Twitter said on Friday it will allow only paid subscribers to use text message s as a two-factor authentication (2FA) method to secure their accounts . After March 20, "only Twitter Blue subscribers will be able to use text message s as their two-factor authentication method," the company tweeted. Two-factor authentication, meant to make accounts more secure, requires an account holder to use a second authentication method in addition to a password. Twitter allows 2FA by text message, authentication app and a security key. The company believes phone-number-based 2FA is being abused by "bad actors," according to a Wednesday blog post that the company's tweet linked to. Twitter owner Elon Musk tweeted "Yup" in reply to a user tweet that the company was changing policy "because Telcos Used Bot Accounts to Pump 2FA SMS," and that the company was losing $60 million a year "on scam SMS." The unknown origins of the mysterious Nomoli figurines

Image
Locals in Sierra Leone, Africa, were searching for diamonds when they discovered a collection of amazing stone figurines portraying various human ethnicities and, in some cases, semi-human beings. These figures are exceedingly ancient, maybe going back to 17,000 BC, according to some estimations Soapstone “Nomoli” figure from Sierra Leone (West Africa). © Wikimedia Commons However, some aspects of the figures, such as the high melting temperatures required to create them and the presence of steel manipulated into perfectly spherical balls, suggest they were built by a civilization that would be considered highly advanced for its time if they were built around 17,000 BC. Overall, the discovery raises fascinating concerns about how and when the Nomoli sculptures were made, as well as what role they may have served to people who made them. The statues are mentioned in several old traditions in Sierra Leone. Angels, the ancient people thought, for...

Encounters with strange beings that materialize in the ruins of Guam

Image
In practically all parts of the world there are countless unusual stories regarding Mysterious beings whose origin is unknown to experts. Even so, despite the fact that the scientific community is not interested in answering all these questions, there are many enthusiasts who want to know more about these enigmas. There is talk of a place found in Guam where so-called zombie spirits are said to be present. These would appear to take form near A̳n̳c̳i̳e̳n̳t̳ ruins and would presumably provide some sort of hex to the area. The local inhabitants, the Chamorro, are aw̳a̳r̳e of this. When scholars arrived on Guam in 1998, they heard about the local folklore and decided to research it; This is how they decided to go to the ruins where the Taotaomo-na live, a spirit that did not show any activity in all the time until someone lit a nearby fire. Once lit, a strong wind suddenly began to blow and the earth shook as if something was coming out of there...

Portal Mod Punt Launches Steam Page As It Turns Into Full Game

Welcome to Harmonics, an American tech company from the turn of the millennia that has made perhaps the most important innovation since the microwave oven: E.M.M.A., or the Environmental Mass Manipulation Apparatus. Using E.M.M.A., you can manipulate the very fundamental forces of the universe by turning gravity off or on its head. This invention could lead to a new industrial revolution. That’s the premise of Punt, a new Game coming to Steam later in 2023 using the Source Engine. Punt got started as a Portal mod at least as far back as 2015, and almost a decade later, it’s finally getting a release window and becoming a full stand-alone Game . NBA rumors: Nets expected to gauge Ben Simmons' trade value this summer

When the Brooklyn Nets shipped out both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving ahead of the trade deadline last week, it left Ben Simmons looking like Will Smith in the series finale of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Just a man alone in an empty room with no one or nothing else around him. Here's a visual to jog your memory: Fresh Prince Room GIFfrom Fresh Prince GIFs It was an end to the superteam era in Brooklyn that lasted a very drama-filled one-and-a-half years. An era whose descent began when James Harden requested a trade from the Nets during the 2022 trade deadline, which resulted in Simmons being sent from the Philadelphia 76ers to Brooklyn. Simmons, who similarly wanted out of Philly like Harden wanted to leave Brooklyn, was expected to get a fresh start with the Nets, but that, too, could come to an end soon.  The two-time All-Defensive player has shown little signs of the All-Star caliber player he was with th...

Ash's English Voice Actor Shares A Heartwarming Tribute To Pokemon Fans

The Pokemon anime debuted almost 26 years ago but will undergo its biggest change to date just a couple of months from now. After all of that time, Ash and Pikachu will be leaving the show. That has prompted Sarah Natochenny, the actor who has voiced Ash for 17 of those 26 years, to share a touching tribute to Pokemon and its fans. Natochenny took the reins from Ash's original English voice actor Veronica Taylor in 2006 and has voiced the iconic character ever since. The video she posted to TikTok (thanks, Game sRadar) begins 17 years ago, but notes that her work as the world's most famous Pokemon trainer really exploded a decade later via the launch of Pokemon Go. Skyrim Mod Adds Oblivion-Style Mythic Dawn Armor

In the Third Age, the daedric prince of destruction, Mehrunes Dagon, almost destroyed all of Tamriel when his cult opened the Oblivion Gates, unleashing a wave of daedra that wiped out the city of Kvatch. They would have wiped out many more had a Mysterious hero not infiltrated the Mythic Dawn cult and figured out a way to stop their evil plans. What’s most unfortunate about the Mythic Dawn is that after the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, they were all wiped out. By the time of Skyrim’s Fourth Age, all that’s left is Silus Vesuius, a crazy fanboy who gathers Mythic Dawn artifacts like it's a blasphemous stamp collection. Related: The Elder Scrolls 6 Could Learn A Lot From Octopath's Followers If only the Mythic Dawn weren’t dedicated to the “cleansing” of Tamriel. Then we’d still have their cool-ass armor in Skyrim.
