The Last Of Us Actor Says "I Don’t Need To Be Muscly" After Casting Criticism

There are very few things people can actually complain about with regard to HBO's The Last of Us. The casting for the lead and supporting characters has been great, the depiction of the infected has been spot on, and there are some scenes that are literally the same when compared side-by-side. Of course, as with any adaptation, there will be differences from the source material, but the showrunners have done a fantastic job with this original material as well. However, there will always be people like Ben Shapiro who didn't understand the source material, and complained about the lack of zombies in episode three. Anyone who has played the Game s will know that The Last of Us Game s tell human stories, with only the setting being that of a zombie apocalypse. However, Shapiro isn't the only one who has dumb takes about the show. RELATED: The Last of Us Episode 3 Has Changed My View On The Game Forever Episode four introduced us to Kathleen, a rebel l...

Kyrie Irving responds to questions about deletion of Instagram apology for sharing antisemitic documentary

When Kyrie Irving shared an antisemitic documentary on his social media platforms earlier in the season, he initially refused to apologize. After several media sessions in which he did not back down, he was eventually suspended by the Brooklyn Nets. At that point, he relented and shared an apology post on Instagram. He served his suspension, returned to the Nets, and with time, the ordeal fell out of the spotlight. But Irving made news last week when he asked the Nets to trade him following a breakdown in contract extension talks. He was ultimately dealt to the Dallas Mavericks, and in the process, The Athletic's Sam Amick noticed something peculiar: Irving's apology post was no longer up on Instagram. It is not clear when Irving deleted the post, but as of this writing, it is not available on his Instagram page. Irving addressed the media Tuesday when he was introduced as a member of the Mavericks, a...

Kyrie Irving trade rumors: Nets star 'prepared' to sit out rest of season if he's not moved at deadline

Ever since returning from his early- season suspension, Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving had been in the headlines for all the right reasons: impressive individual performances, another All-Star Game selection and, before Kevin Durant was injured, helping lead a 12- Game winning streak that is still the longest by any team this season .  All of that changed in recent days ahead of the 2023 NBA trade deadline, as Irving demanded a trade from the Nets due to disagreements about a potential contract extension. Per Chris Haynes, the relationship between the two parties is now so broken that Irving would not accept a max deal from the Nets at this point, and the team will keep him sidelined until the front office can figure out a deal. Irving sat out Saturday night's game against the Wizards with "calf soreness." But what if the Nets can't find a move? The potential issue for both Irving and the N...

Chantel Jeffries and her boyfriend Andrew Taggart, 30, left Los Angeles behind and jetted off to Miami, Florida over the weekend. But the model was spotted without her Chainsmokers beau on Monday afternoon as she enjoyed a ʙικιɴι-clad hangout with some of her closest gal pals. For her relaxing beach day, the DJ-turned-model, 28, slipped her famously fit physique into a slinky snakeskin two piece. Her long, wavy brunette hair was tied up into a high ponytail and she accessorized her look with a variety of gold jewelry. While putting her hand over her mouth to conceal her laughter, the star put her trendy chrome manicure on full display. Instead of venturing into the water or walking along the shore, Chantel chose to relax on a lounge chair and soak up the beach atmosphere. She plugged her AirPods into her ears and scrolled through her cellphone, while the rest of her items remained stowed away in her designer handbag.  Making sure to get an even tan, Jeffries mad...

Lakers' Russell Westbrook passes Gary Payton for 10th place on NBA's all-time assists list

Monday night's matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets lost most of its luster with the absences of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons due to their respective injuries. But Russell Westbrook and Kyrie Irving were ready to go, and something interesting might happen whenever those two are on the floor. On this night it was Westbrook who earned the accolades with a historic assist . Late in the first half, he moved past Hall of Famer Gary Payton and into 10th place on the NBA 's all -time assists list with 8,967 dimes for his career. Westbrook is one of three active players in the top 10, along with Chris Paul (third) and teammate LeBron James (sixth).  As the clock ticked under one minute to play in the half, Westbrook caught the ball on the perimeter and used an extremely subtle fake to get Royce O'Neale off of his feet. With an open lane to the rim ahead of hi...

Lakers, LeBron James stunned after not getting game-altering foul vs. Celtics; league confirms missed call

The Los Angeles Lakers aren't getting along with NBA officials this season. Los Angeles ranks third in the league in restricted area field goal attempts, but just 19th in clutch free-throw attempts per minute. For whatever reason, the offense that scores more in the paint than any other can't seem to get calls at the end of Game s. And against the Celtics Saturday night in Boston, the situation hit a new low. Up three with four seconds to go, Jaylen Brown made a layup that cut the Lakers' lead to one. OK, no problem. That still left the Lakers with the ball and the lead ... right? Wrong. Seemingly out of nowhere, Patrick Beverley was called for one of the latest fouls you'll ever see. Take a look: Brown made the free throw. The Lakers called timeout. They drew up a play for James to attack the rim. He gets into the paint and puts up a layup. Jayson Tatum clearly whacks him on the arm. Once again,...

Fragging, Pwning, And Other Words Gamers Never Hear Online Anymore

Things you've probably not thought about for a while that fell out of favor without you even realizing. Comparing the two cargo aircraft, the C-17 and C-130

Image
First delivered in 1991, the C-17 Globemaster III is the senior (by a long shot) of these two cargo aircraft – by a lot. The U.S. Air Force declared the C-17 operationally ready in 1995, and ordered a total inventory of 223 C-17s from its producer, Boeing. The C-130 Hercules, on the other hand, was first delivered in 1956, almost 40 years before the C-17 was a reality. Many variations of the C-130 exist, as well as a few that no longer exist. The C-130A and C-130B were ordered in a batch of 219 in 1956, but by the time August of 1962 rolled around, Lockheed Martin was already on to the C-130E (of which the USAF ordered over 300). Active duty locations for the C-17 are Travis AFB, California; Dover AFB, Delaware; Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington; Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina; and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. Also, Pacific Air Forces operates C-17s from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. Activ...
