Disney Dreamlight Valley Announces Multiplayer In 2023 Roadmap

Disney revealed its roadmap for Dreamlight Valley this week, showing off a lot of fun additions the Game will be getting in the coming months and teasing arrivals later in the year. Topping the bill when it comes to the most intriguing reveal was just one word, multiplayer. No explanation as to how exactly that will be implemented, but apparently, it's coming soon.

Well, that might depend on how you define the word soon. As you can see in the image below (thanks, EuroGamer), the multiplayer promise is one of the last things on the current Dreamlight Valley agenda. Long before that, players will be welcoming a new character into the valley. Encanto's Mirabel Madrigal who will be joining Dreamlight Valley next month.

February's arrivals will also include an unnamed “special snowman”. That's presumably referring to Olaf from Frozen. If you can think of any other notable snowmen from throughout Disney History then send in your answers on a postcard, please. Speaking of Disney History, there will also be a new star path added next month to celebrate the corporation's 100th anniversary.

Moving on through the roadmap, the next major update following Madrigal's arrival will roll out in April. That update will include a new realm and a new character, seemingly headlined by Simba who will join his uncle Scar in the Game. After that is when details and timings start to get a little more vague. A princess racing into the valley might well be Vanellope von Schweetz from Wreck-It-Ralph. Completing the roadmap is the list of other features coming soon, including the aforementioned multiplayer.

Needless to say, a lot to look forward to for those of you who play Dreamlight Valley, or perhaps some content that will finally pull in those of you who have been on the fence about it. Madrigal's arrival will mark the first new character added to the Game since early December. You also don't need to worry about Donald Duck getting angry all the time, that issue has been dealt with. No, seriously.
